Published Articles In The Artist, and Leisure Painter Magazines

Had an article published in October's handy pull out of the Leisure Painter and The Artist magazines. It gives advice on what to look for when choosing an art course, and is a really handy booklet to have. Inside are the opportunities to be had on leisure classes, painting holidays and workshops, so whether you're just starting out or fancy a challenge, it's worth a look.

If you've ever thought about passing your skills on, and teaching a leisure class, have a look at my article in The Artist magazine for November.

Artist of the Year 2012 prize-winner.

Artist of the year 2012 prize-winner

SOLD

I had a phone call from London today telling me I was a prize-winner in Artist and Illustrator magazines, Artist of the Year 2012.

It’s always nice when other people like what you've painted; it sort of reinforces the faith in your own work.

It was great news simply to be chosen, especially from so many entries, but to actually win a prize; I suppose you could say it was the icing on The Last Piece of Cake.

Finally got the computer change over complete; not without a problem or two, hence the disappearance for a while. Sticking with the still life at the moment, it's warmer in the kitchen

Late summer.

acrylic on canvas 15cm x 15cm.

It still seemed like the last days of summer today so I sat in the garden and painted the geraniums and roses before the grey sets in.
