Monochromatic
Monochrome painting, or painting with mainly one color, using different values of that colour. Lightening or blending with white and darkening with a neutral gray or black. Do this type of painting to understand the importance of tone or the distribution of light and dark in the picture. Nothing is defined in the picture, I don’t want you to think of detail, only areas of light and dark and balance them in an abstract way. This approach works well with a winter scene. There are many other colours on the wheel, try another.
