Out Of the Blue.

18 cm x 10 cm oil on canvas mounted on board.

One of the 'Still Life With a Twist' series that I've revisited and tidied up a little; I never originally liked the background, I was too interested in the main idea but this one looks a little better. I think it serves to remind me that all areas of the study play their part.

New Classes in June

After Trevor chamberlain, 'Burn Up on the Foreshore'

Acrylic study using oil techniques in class at Sudley Area Residents Association. We'll be doing more like this in the six week class summer class.

Places are still available for beginners or intermediate painters so no matter what your skill level why not get in touch.

3rd of June until the 8th of July from 10-00 am 12.00 noon every Tuesday.

On the Easel.

21 cm x 21 cm oil on canvas paper.

Working from photos, colour swatches and sketches I've revisited some work from the Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia. I've made one pass in oils but probably wont add much more when they dry a little. I want to keep that loose feel that says it's just as much about the paint as the subject.

14 cm x 20 cm oil on card.
