This week we will duplicate Julian Merrow Smith's 'Sabatier and pear slice', oil on canvas.

Home-study

As an exercise photocopy a colour painting and using only black and white paint produce a copy. Alternatively do the same exercise from a colour picture and interpret it in black and white only. Aim to use around 5 tones including black and white and keep it simple.

Bluecoat postponed.

Unfortunately the event at the Bluecoat is now postponed due to the inclement weather and will now take place on June 23^rd. All the other details remain the same. Sorry about that, the one thing we have no control over is the expected high winds, a bad idea for an outdoor event with gazebos. We’ll hopefully see you in two weeks.

THE BLUECOAT in Liverpool city centre will be hosting another art and craft fair in the School Lane courtyard on Saturday 9^th of June. 

I'll be there with a stand and have the ‘Liverpool Paintings’, ‘Cornish Paintings’ and ‘Still Life with a Twist’. All available as originals, prints and cards.
